Question: Hi I am having difficulty with a topic & questions of mine! As I have been brought up a catholic, my parents have the belief that all Christenings, communions & weddings should be held in a church. Many of my family members have had there events in church’s, but on this occasion for my wedding I want it to be spectacular. I would like to have an outside wedding, maybe in a lovely garden with near a lake nearby & to have my own hand made alter, decorated by my own designs. How would I go about doing this without making the parents unhappy? But then on the other hand would being a catholic mean I have to get married in a church or could I bring the priest outside to the location I want to marry? What if my parents were ok with my outside ceremony & the priest could attend the location away from the church, but then the weather conditions were not up to standard. How would I go about making the day wonderful without the family laughing at my wedding? Thinking it should have been in a church. Would there be a way to make it a wonderful wedding even if it rained?
