Question: My fiance and I have two very different wedding "dreams." I want a small chapel ceremony with the dress, flowers, and a bridesmaid or two, complete with some sort of reception. My fiance does not want to stand in front of anyone or be in any position where anyone would be staring at him. He doesn't want to dance at a reception, either. He prefers to be married at the courthouse. Is there a way to compromise on this? I'm okay with not having a huge wedding with all the extras, but I feel like I would be resentful if I didn't even get to wear a wedding dress and have a beautiful, memorable wedding day.
