QUESTION

Subject: RSVP and taking guests
Question: I live with my mother and we got a wedding invitation with each our names on it and it didn't say and guest next to either name. I know she can't go and since there was no respond card would it be rude if I took a guest anyway? I figure since they paid for my mother to come and she can't go I can take a guest and that would be like my mother going and since there is no RSVP card.
