QUESTION

Subject: Our daughter is getting marrie
Question: Our daughter is getting married and she and her fiance are basicly paying for the wedding themselves. We have offered to pay for the reception and they want a formal sit-down dinner. Herein lies the problem - we can only afford to pay for approx. 250 guests. His family wants to invite over 300 people and with our 100 or so guests and the 30+ wedding party, we cannot afford that. Is it okay to ask his family (parents) to foot the bill for the extra guests over 250? Thank you.
