Subject: The wedding is in another stat
Question: The wedding is in another state from where my stepdaughter and I live. Her father died a few years ago, but I have offerred to give her a local reception when she returns after the wedding. Her mother will not be coming up here as she lives in another state. It's a rather formal reception at with dinner and dancing. I'm not sure how to word the invitation. Should I say that I am inviting them and state that I she is my "stepdaughter"?
