QUESTION

Subject: I have a question about a coup
Question: I have a question about a couple who eloped and after the elopement registered for gifts and had a bridal shower. Now almost two years late they are having a convalidation ceremony in the catholic church with a reception and do not want to say no gifts or your presence is gift enough on the wedding invite. I was told by the bride that wedding etiquette is not to mention gift because gifts are not expected but this is for the first time. Would like to know who is right? They want money now from the same people who gave them wedding gifts after the elopement.
