QUESTION
From: Wedding Palace Visitor
Subject:
Question: My fiance & I are having a small wedding. Family and close friends. We are limited to a small area for reception at around 50 seats. A mutual friend and one that played a part in our meeting is on the list along with his wife. However he has 5 children and our plans was just to send the invite addressed to him & his wife. Invitations have not gone out yet when I ran into him. He was very happy to hear of the engagement and was happy to hear that he is on the invite list. He then asked if the children were invited too. I politely responded with "Its going to be a late ceremony" (Having a night ceremony around 9). Hoping he would get the hint. He then said laughing-Oh well we will just bring their blankets. Now Im not opposed to children, my 5 yoa son will be there-but he is my son. My problem is that it is 5 & Ive lost track of their names.Plus that would be a whole table. Would it be rude to include a note with the invitations to let them know that seating is limited and only have room for the 2 of them? OR any other advice?
