QUESTION
From: Wedding Palace Visitor
Subject:
Question: I am having a small wedding of only 25 people. Because of this I have limited guests to only family. My stepmom is causing a fuss cause I won't invite her relatives. I want a small wedding, and it would get too big if I invited stepfamily as well. I do like stepmom's family and would like to inform them of my marriage. I'm not looking for gifts, but I think its nice to let people know you're married. My stepmom thinks its incredibly rude to send wedding announcements to people who you didn't invite to your wedding. Stepmom even told me that I better not send any wedding announcements to her relatives. I have their addresses. Would it be okay to send them a wedding announcement? Stepmom is acting as if she owns her relatives and that I have no right to send them a wedding announcement. I plan to do the same with my stepdad's relatives who I also don't have room to invite to my wedding, and my stepdad has no problem with sending the wedding announcements to his relatives.
