QUESTION
From: Wedding Palace Visitor
Subject:
Question: Do I have to include my stepmom of 20 years on my invitations? Even after 20 years she and I aren't close, and my childhood visiting my dad was spent by stepmom badmouthing my mother. Listing her as a "parent" on my invitations makes me sick to my stomach after the way she treated me in the past. I would prefer to just list my biologically parents or just omit names all together. She was no type of "parent" to me so I find it very uncomfortable to list her as one as if she is special to me. She is someone I try to avoid.
