QUESTION
From: Wedding Palace Visitor
Subject:
Question: Once, when browsing somewhere on the internet, I ran across an article where, at the rehersal dinner, the mother of the groom presented cut apron strings to the bride symbolic of giving her son away. The mother had also written a poem to the bride. In this article it mentioned that the poem was now being used by other mothers of the groom for similar purposes. I didn't pay much attention at the time but now that I will soon be the mother of the groom, I would like to symbollically give the apron strings to my new daughter-in-law. Have you ever heard of this and where can I get more information?
