QUESTION
From: Sally
Subject:
Question: I have been trying to decide if I invite people I used to work with, had been with the company for 5 year and got let go unfairly after new owners took over the company. There was a handful of people I was going to invite to my wedding in September but most of them I have not spoken to since January now. I know they really wanted to come and I think a couple of them will be very hurt if I don't invite them but I feel angry the way things went down when I was let go and I feel like no one had my back or stood up for me. They all called or messaged me within the first week to tell me how angry they were that I wasn't there any more and how wrong it was but since then I have only heard from one person who mainly contacts me to complain about the work environment. I ignore those messages because I'm still trying to get past the termination and I don't want to hear about that. Do I send the invites to all the people I had planned on inviting or only the one who has (sort of) kept in touch, or just move on and let these people go?
