QUESTION
From: Wedding Palace Visitor
Subject:
Question: I was asked to be a bridesmaid for a close friend in October. I have not purchased my gown yet, I have to do that by Friday. It has been a year since I was asked to be in the wedding. Since this time... I have a four year old and now a 1 year old. My husband just had a medical procedure which will take him months to recover from (he is not working). I am taking care of everyone at the house, I am not working at the present time. I thought the mother and mother-in-law would be taking care of the shower (70 people, renting a hall, bringing in food)...they aren't. I now have the cost of the shower, a dress, a present for the shower, and a wedding present to worry about. I'm considering cancelling from the wedding. I feel horrible. My friend also threw me a baby shower months ago, it was only 10 people and a house party, but it was still very nice of her to do it. I know I'm bombarded with stuff right now. What should I do? Should I try to stick it out and stay in the shower...despite bills, children, and my husband? Please help... any advice would be grateful.
