Question: My future mother-in-law wants us to pay for some sort of shuttle service for the out of town guests from the hotel where they'll be staying to the ceremony/reception site (everything is happening in one place). To me, this seems utterly ridiculous because the wedding is taking place 6 or 7 blocks from the hotel, and I anticipate that most people will have rental cars, as public transportation is impractical in this city. Unless these guests want to pay for a $30 cab ride each way from the airport, and $15 each way from the rehearsal dinner, and be marooned at the hotel the rest of the time, the guests are going to need rental cars, and I don't think that it's our responsibilty to ferry them around. I could understand it if we were having our wedding at a remote estate, ranch, or winery that was difficult to find. However, this is not the case. Please tell me if I'm being unreasonable.
