Question: We're having an outdoor wedding in mid July 2006 (3 months away) and we're trying to figure out the etiquette for a small wedding. It is only going to be my great grandma, my grandparents on moms side (other side passed away), my brother and his wife, my fiance's mom, step dad and grandma. We're having his daughter as our flower girl and my brothers boy as our ring bearer. I have a formal gown and he's wearing a tux, but we're not sure exactly what else needs done. My last wedding was HUGE, over 400 in attendance. I don't know how to plan a small wedding. Do we need music for the kids and I? Do we need to have a reception, or will just a small dinner after the ceremony be good? None of us are VERY formal about any of it. But I would also love for Bell (his daughter) to be a part of the wedding. Is there anything I can do to add a few things in there for her? What can I do to show her that while I am marrying her father, I am also becoming a part of her family? Bell is only 3 years old (4 in August) and at the moment she thinks that step moms are evil. Argh! She loves when I watch her and when we go to the park, it is almost like her mom isn't wanting my fiance and I to get married. Help?!?! PLEASE!!!
