Response: The brides who seem to suffer the most from stress are those who are not normally detail oriented people. Instead, they are the visionaries; they see the finished event but they have trouble grasping the steps involved in getting to the finished product and they find it overwhelming.
The biggest thing you can do to help is to get her some help, someone who can handle the details and with whom she can talk over her ideas and who will help her through the process, both now and on the wedding day. It should be a woman, preferably someone older than she is who can relate to her like a mom and be a calming influence.
If you cant afford to hire a coordinator, see if you can find a family friend who is very organized and who would be willing to come along side her and handle the details, but not one of the moms.
She may resist at first, but once she is no longer shouldering the entire event herself, she will appreciate the help.
