RESPONSE
From: Wills
Response: A tiara can look magnificent with long, loose hair. Youll just need to do a little more work to keep it in place as you dance the night away with your groom.

Small combs can be added to the ends of most tiaras--depending on the shape of your headpiece and how it fits on your particular head, this might be all you need. If it still doesnt feel quite secure enough, you can have your manufacturer or a local jeweler wire a comb to the center of your tiara.

Id recommend simply wearing a comb style headpiece, since theyre magnificently comfortable and easy to secure and wear, but I fear that might come too close to the 'band across the top' look youre trying to avoid. Still, check out some online tiara vendors for pictures of comb style headpieces. Some, especially ones with some height, may well give you the tiara look you want, and the comfort and security you need.
