RESPONSE
From: Plomaritis
Response: Perhaps something like this:
Mr. and Mrs. .................
have the honour of announcing
the marriage of their daughter
..............
to
..............
on day.............
year date..........
at.Name of chapel,etc married.......
placeJamaica,etc..................
No time is given for an announcement

For a reception invitation just do them like this:
Mr. and Mrs..............
request the pleasure of your company
at the wedding reception
for their daughter
.................
on.................
at........

Call it a reception....invite whom you wish.

Guests are never EXPECTED to bring gifts and any mention of bringing or not bringing gifts is not done. People will do what they wish in that case.

Dont wear your wedding dress as if you just got married. Dress as if you were going to someones reception. You want to dress up.
You dont have to make it black tie....but you want to make it nice. Or do you want it to be very informal. If that is the case I would call everyone you are sending invitations to and let them know. I dont think I would put it in the invitation.
