RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hi Shelly, Congratulations on your approaching marriage. The invitations should be issued in you and your fiances names, not your parents. It would not be appropriate to issue them in the names of your children unless they are paying for hosting the wedding.

It is very common to include children as the MOH and bridesmaid. However, an 11 year old is a bit old to be a flower girl. She would more appropriately be a junior bridesmaid. Your son will be so pleased to walk you down the aisle.

One thing to be aware of is that your daughter who is the MOH will not be able to sign the marriage license unless she is 18. Therefore, you might ask a parent or a close friend to sign in her place.
