RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hello Heather, Is there perhaps another person, such as your mother, who can remind the MIL that white and off-white are reserved for the bride? If not, you might enlist the help of your fiance, who could tell his mom that she might want to consider another color. However, it sounds as if she has a dress in mind already and may not be willing to change. If she does end up wearing the white dress, she is the one who will look out of place and it wont be your problem, other than having to look at your wedding photos and see someone in a white lace dress other than you.
