RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hello Rachael, If you have not mailed your invitations, the only people you must contact are the vendors you have hired. If they are not able to rebook your date, you may have to pay for their lost business.

If you have mailed the invitations, then you should send a card to everyone on your list stating that the wedding has been postponed, you are sorry for the inconvenience, and they will receive information when it is rescheduled. You can print the cards yourself or have them printed, but you need to do this soon. You may want the front of the card to very clearly state 'Change in Wedding Plans' so people read it. You can follow up with e-mails if you know the guest uses e-mail and checks it regularly.

If you have received gifts and the new wedding date will not be within a few months, the gifts should be returned. If you have opened and used items, then let the giver know and ask if they would like the gift back. Chances are they will tell you to keep it, but they should have the opportunity to make that decision.
