RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hello Maggie, Your friend is over-reacting, but getting her to understand that may be difficult. One way to lessen some of her concern is to have all the men walk in with the groom, then have the bridesmaids walk in alone. That way, she would have to only walk out with a groomsman, not both in and out. You may need to enlist the help of the other bridesmaids to help her understand that she is simply walking with a person, not dating him.

Another issue is how she might react when she has to stand next to a groomsman in photos. That could easily happen.

Have you asked her what bothers her about walking with a groomsman for just a few moments? If her husband is giving her a hard time about it, that could be a signal that her marriage is in trouble.
