RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hello Emily, The MOH is correct that she is not obligated to help with any showers. It is a courtesy to help, but not a requirement. Whoever plans a shower is responsible for its execution and payment unless others volunteer to help. They cant be forced to help if they dont want to or cant afford to be involved.

If the MOH helped the mother with a shower, which is a violation of etiquette for the bridess mother to host a shower, she doesnt need to help with another one. However, as the MOH, she and the mother of the bride, who attended the other shower, should both be invited to your shower and as a courtesy to the bride, they should attend, though they dont need to bring a gift.
