RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Hello Dawn, Situations like yours occur frequently. You made your plans based on the original wedding date. Your cousin chose to change the date and she should accept that not everyone can accommodate her plans. You can certainly step down. It would probably be best to tell her in person or by phone unless you feel she would become angry and accusing. If so, then send her a note. You dont have to go into great detail, but let her know that your brother has military leave at that time and he cant change it and you are sorry to miss the wedding. If she is not understanding, then she has a problem.
