RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: From an etiquette perspective, it is considered improper to mention gifts in any way in an invitation or an announcement. However, some people do say 'no gifts, please,' even if they shouldnt. You know your family and friends - if you dont think they would be offended for you to say no gifts, then you might do it. Many people do not send gifts after receiving an announcement, so you may not have to worry about receiving a large number of them.
