RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: That is a difficult question to answer. Your fiance may have chosen the ring for any number of reasons and letting him know that you dont like it could create problems. He may have chosen it because it was the one that he could afford or that he received the best terms on if he financed it. You know your fiance and his personality. You know if he will be hurt if you ask him to trade it in for another one. Be aware that once a ring is taken out of the store, your fiance may not be able to get the full value that he paid for it.

An option is to accept the ring and then for a future anniversary tell your husband that you would like to have the stone/stones re-set into a different band.
