RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: You are not obligated to get your guests to and from the wedding, though many couples do it as a courtesy. There are two things to consider. One is whether guests could get lost while driving or walking in a strange city. The other is the issue of drinking, then driving or walking back to their hotel, particularly if it is late at night. Drinking and driving dont mix and particularly in a strange city. However, it could cost several hundred dollars to rent a trolley or similar service. Is your MIL willing to pay for it? If not, then you can certainly leave transportation up to the guests to arrange.
