Response: The bride sounds like she needs a coordinator to help her. There are so many details that she appears to have not thought about and they are very important ones. She will need to provide the minister, photographer, DJ, and others with a detailed written time line for the wedding day so that they know where they need to be and when and what will occur and when.
Asking the groom about salons is probably not a good idea. Men simply dont have any interest in such things. If his mother or a sister lives in the town where the wedding will occur, then she would be a better resource.
If you need to locate a salon, you might begin by checking the chamber of commerce web site for the city where the wedding will be held. Also check on-line Yellow Pages and see if you find salons that you can call.
You are not responsible for what the other bridesmaids do, so you dont need to tell each of them that you have a hair appointment. However, it would be a good idea to share that information with the bride so that she can also make an appointment at the same salon if she chooses to do so. Then, she can tell her bridesmaids about it if they ask.
