RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: You can use any color that you like. Colors tend to go in and out of favor from year to year. For instance, about 5 years ago everyone used either shades of lavender and purple or periwinkle blue. Then all shades of pink, from burgundy to pale, became popular. Right now, chocolate brown with any coordinating color is popular. Red, burgundy, and navy seem to be perenniel favorites, as is black.

What is most important is that the style of bridesmaids dresses that you choose fit the season. Therefore, a strapless black tea-length dress would look fine in July. However, a long black dress with sleeves would look too warm for the season. Therefore, choose colors that you like and that you will feel comfortable using.
