RESPONSE
From: Warnick
Response: The first consideration is the fabric content of your gown. Most polyester gowns can be spot-cleaned with plain water or a mild combination of dish soap I use Dawn and water. Dish soap cuts proteins blood, etc and grease, and most polyesters do not water spot. Blood can actually be spot- cleaned immediately by licking the spot. Saliva also cuts proteins.
For tears, every bride should have an emergency kit with needle and thread, or at least safety pins. If you have your gown altered, speak to your alteration specialist about these concerns prior to your wedding ceremony.
