Response: Needless to say I am not a professional photographer but I have seen some experiences of what you suggest. I think you can cut down the number of professional shots
as you suggest as long as you have some professional portraits.

You feelings are colored by your first marriages, though. If you have a happy marriage you are going to want to have a beautiful documentation of your wedding day.
Please keep this in mind....you are not going to be able to go back in time and get those shots.

My daughter keeps her wedding album out for guests to look at. I look at it too when I visit. It is fun to look back. I dont think it is a waste of money to have beautiful pictures.
