RESPONSE
From: Warnick
Response: An evening formal, black-tie wedding is perfectly acceptable in a black and white scheme. If she is truly uncomfortable, an accent color of your choice could be added for her, or both mothers. Traditions have changed over the years black was never previously acceptable at weddings, nor were colors at funerals.
What is your favorite color - red, wine, purple, pink, blue? Any would serve well as an accent and give her some choice to be more comfortable. Yes, it is your wedding, but it is also the beginning of a long and, hopefully pleasant relationship. Consideration goes a long way.
