Response: Hi Cheryl:
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

When you say your 'colors', I hope I am right in assuming that the bridesmaids gowns are burgundy. If so, I think the 'pink spectrum' of colors for the flowers would compliment the burgundy dresses and look really elegant. You can go with all one color all light pink or mix in from light pink to hot pink. Personally, I love roses, but gerbera daisies are really nice as well and both roses and gerberas come in silk. Since you are making your own flowers, something that I have seen recently and thought looked very elegant are just a few flowers with long stems and then you tie them together with a beautiful wide satin ribbon. But its your wedding, so its your choice. You can make a traditional bouquet as well.

For decorations, I am assuming you mean
centerpiece decorations for the tables at the reception. This is completely up to you and dependent on your budget. If it is a night reception, you can go with the glass bowls with floating candles in burgundy. This is an easy and inexpensive centerpiece. You can make it a little more elegant by placing it on a mirror. Another idea would be small vases with flowers either the same as the bouquet flowers or something different and a couple of small votive candles next to them.

What you have on the tables and other decorations at the reception is whatever YOUR taste is. Google in 'wedding reception centerpieces' or 'wedding reception decorations' on the computer and you will get lots of ideas!! Another place to search for ideas is 'Martha Stewart Weddings'. The centerpieces and decorations dont necessarily need to be in your 'colors'. They can be a reflection of who you and your fiance are and what you like. Good luck with your plans!
