RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: The bride and groom do not ask for or mention gifts in a wedding invitation. If guests choose to bring a gift, they will. It is socially taboo to include registry information in a wedding invitation.

If a couple doesnt want gifts, in some areas of the country it is acceptable to indicate no gifts, please. In other areas of the country, even that is considered inappropriate.

You can certainly register for gifts if you would like. Then, tell your wedding party and parents where you registered and they can spread the word when asked. Be aware, however, that not all guests give gifts for a second marriage, particularly if they were invited to the first wedding and gave a gift.
