Response: Hi Kristy:
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

You dont say WHEN in the fall your wedding is. If it is THIS fall, I would strongly urge you to get to a florist ASAP for a consultation. Most florists only book a certain number of weddings each week and if it would happen to be October 20, which is Sweetest Day, you maybe out of luck.

That said....what color are the bridesmaid dresses? Im not sure what you mean by 'wanting to be different', but one way to have striking pictures is to do either BRIGHT colors or OPPOSITE colors. Here is what I mean by bright colors.....say if the girls dresses are royal/navy blue, you can have them carry a bouquet with oranges, yellows, etc., something really bright. That is what my daughter did and it made for really great looking photographs. If you want something opposite...you, as the bride, can carry a colored bouquet, instead of the usual white/cream colors, and then have the bridesmaids carry bouquets of white/creams. I was just recently at a wedding and the bride carried bright red roses, and the bridesmaids carried white roses. It was really beautiful, and, again, opposite of the normal. Of course, you can do the same thing with silks.

Another simple idea that is popular, is for the bridesmaids to carry a few flowers, say just 2 or 3 gerbera daisies which are tied with a silk ribbon. Look through bridal magazines to get other ideas and bring your ideas and pictures to the florist. All florists are willing to work within your budget and are more than happy to give you suggestions. Good luck!
