RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Gail has offered some good ideas. Another way to be different is to include items other than flowers in the bouquet. For instance, hypericum berries are shaded from green to a brownish burgundy color. They go well with reds, white, cream, greens, and other colors and you often see them in fall and winter bouquets. The berries can be used alone for the mens boutonierres.

Another option is to use the small thistle pod, I am not sure of the name of it. It is dark green with a tinge of purple and it is very striking with purple and lavender flowers. You can also incorporate herbs into the bouquets.

Do make an appointment with a florist and spend some time looking at pictures. You should be able to create a striking bouquet that will be unique.
