Response: Hi Erika:
You already seem to know what you want!

Use a mirror as the base. On top of that, get a clear glass bowl - there are many different shapes, sizes, etc., just look at craft stores like Michaels, discount stores like Walmart, or even Dollor stores. Put some water in the bowl, and, depending on the size of bowl you choose, place one or two 'rose shaped' floating candles. Around the base of the bowl you can place some scattered rose petals. This is a simple, inexpensive and elegant looking centerpiece. Of course, you would want to coordinate the rose petals and the floating rose candle the same color. If you wanted to add a little more elegance, you can put some colored marbles or gems -- also sold at craft stores, discount stores and dollar stores -- on the bottom of the bowl before you add the water and candle. One other suggestion....how long is your reception? When choosing floating candles, look at how long they burn. Some only burn 2-3 hours, but you can find 'long burning' 5-6 hour candles, but, of course, they cost more.

Good luck and congratulations!
