RESPONSE
From: Tooman
Response: Im a wedding coordinator and this is always
a difficult area. Your mom may
be right that no tip is necessary. However,
before deciding, you will want to take into consideration how
much time and energy the coordinator spent at
the rehearsal and on the wedding day. Weddings
are physically draining on anyone who has to be
on their feet for hours at a time. Your coordinator
should have spent at least 6 hours or more
on your behalf on the wedding day. If she
was in charge of decorating or clean-up, she
may have spent even more time. Were there any
crises that the coordinator handled on the
wedding day? If so, did she do it well?
Also consider the time she spent attending
meetings with merchants with you, the number
of phone calls, faxes, e-mails and other
things she did on your behalf. Be sure to send
her a thank you letter even if you dont give
a tip.
